Description
Tongue dark bluish-purple, sometimes resembling the color of liver, with tortuous, engorged sublingual veins.
Significance
Indicates blood stasis; obstructed qi and blood circulation with stasis in the vessels—commonly seen in heart-vessel obstruction and patterns of internal static blood.
